If we understand publication as the public sharing of experiences, for me as artist and artistic researcher, a publication is any public artistic production – theatre or dance performance, publicly screened moving image work, artist book and installation – that builds on the experience of research or seeks to raise questions or draw lessons relevant to research through and in the process of creating.
